Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef personality. She was also an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares straightforward and simple techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also studied Italy's culinary tradition and the culture of Italy, as well as the landscape. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with the English and Communications degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. It was difficult to master and do enough or put in the hours. When I graduated from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners chef Burrell took a full year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In Italy Burrell developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. It has had a profound impact on the way she prepares her food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of kids facing difficulties. Additionally, she is an Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of children with diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and teacher, she travels around the U.S. to share her passion for cooking as well as her professional career. Anne in all her culinary journey has stated that it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to share this passion for the food industry with people.
