Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones was born Los Angeles, California to Quincy Jones, a media producer and mogul, as well as Peggy Lipton, Rashida is the younger sister of actress Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones. Kidada Jones is her older sister. She also has five half-siblings derived from the other relationships her father had with his family. Her father is African-American , and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant of refugees from Russia and Latvia). Rashida was educated in Reform Judaism. She was born in Bel Air Los Angeles, California. Jones claimed that Jones her parents of mixed race weren't acceptable to her in the 1970s. Jones began her professional acting debut on The Last Don, a mini-series that aired in 1997 based on the novel written by Mario Puzo. In 1997, Rashida graduated from Harvard University. She was a student at the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks (California). It was named the school with the highest chance of success. The name she uses is Arabic (O+-O'UO-O(c)) to mean "Major adult, mature older or wise". On People magazine's "50 most beautiful people" list. Rashida's father, who is African-American, has a smaller amount of English, Scottish and Welsh roots (some ancestral ancestors of her African ancestral line are of the Tikar people from Cameroon). Rashida's mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (of Russian Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent). Her maternal grandparents are from South Carolina and Mississippi. Her maternal grandfather was born to New Yorkers, while her maternal grandmother was of Eastern European Jewish heritage. In the year 2009, she had played three different characters, including "Karen" in the sitcoms of the past: Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
