Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8 in 1985) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Her credits include Andy Jensen, on ABC Family's Kyle XY, and Lacy Rand, who is on Syfy's sluggish science fiction drama series Caprica. Emily Hartwell (born Maya Hartwell), is her science fiction character on Continuum. Recently, she was featured as Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is of Polish descent and spent one year in Poland in the ninth grade. She lived with her uncle and attended the school in Jelenia Gora. She later went on to study at Vancouver Film School. She first became interested in acting at the age of 10 after her father introduced her to Pulp Fiction. She began her acting career with the 2002 film Jeremiah and John Doe. Between 2007 and 2009 she was the character Andy Jensen in Kyle XY. In 2008, she starred as Andy Jensen in Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to be the character Lacy Rand in Caprica's TV drama, starring Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. Later, she appeared on Hellcats. In 2012, she guest starred in the second season of Jane Espenson's romantic comedy web series, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz appeared as Emily in the show Continuum She also appeared in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. While it was shot in 2012, The Green Inferno was worldwide made available in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science-fiction thriller film Volition. It premiered in 2020. In 2019, Apanowicz was cast as Sandy in the second season of Netflix film You.
