Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian actor and singer. She is best known for her character on Law & Order as Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor, on Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the protagonist on Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She has also appeared on films such as RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she wrote and directed). Hennessy was a native of Edmonton, Alberta. Her father, John Hennessy, was a meat salesman and sales/marketing executive. It was a job that required considerable travel and led to frequent relocations for the entire family. Maxine Her mother, also known as Maxine passed away in the year 1982. She left her daughter under the care of Eleanor, her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline Hennessy is her identical twin sister. Jacqueline is a journalist in Canada. Hennessy's ancestral ancestry includes Irish, French, Swedish and Italian heritage from her father's side and mostly Ukrainian Roma on her mother's. She attended Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy and her sister were among the first actors to be cast as twin call girl in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, says she was nominated for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She also appeared in the Dead Ringers series in 1988 as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 for the role of Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney, in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role was played by her for three seasons before she quit the show in 1996.
